In Outlook, looking at attachment handlers in Trust Center, there is a checkbox enabled for "PDF Preview Handler", but nothing forĬould it be possible that the Windows/Outlook setting for previewing PDF's has been set to a handler called "PDF Preview Handler" (and isn't really configured) whereas the registry is setup for theįWIW, the user has Acrobat PRO XI and also a current Acrobat Reader DC installed. The only odd thing that I see on this is that looking through his registry for "PDF Preview Handler" there is more about "Adobe PDF Preview Handler for Vista" than just "PDF Preview Handler". In Windows, if the Preview Pane is enabled and a PDF is selected, it says "This file can't be previewed". No Adobe Reader or crobat Reader or Foxit Reader is required in order for the PDF previewer for Windows and Outlook to work. In Outlook, when the user tries to preview a PDF, it says there was an error with "PDF Preview Handler". I've done a bunch of research and checked registry entries, etc., and everything looks like it should. Without fully opening the e-mail, I used to be able to click on ' Preview File ', and the attached pdf would be displayed under the senders name.
